      Position Summary:
      The Senior Benefits & Leave Analyst plays a pivotal role in administering the organizationu2019s leave of absence programs, employee benefits, and 401(k) retirement plan. This role focuses heavily on ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local leave lawsu2014including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and workersu2019 compensationu2014while supporting day-to-day benefits operations. Acting as a subject matter expert in leave management, the Analyst partners with employees, managers, HR teams, and third-party vendors to ensure a seamless, compliant, and empathetic experience. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to responsive, employee-centered service.

      Core Responsibilities: u00A0
      Leave of Absence (50%)
      • Serve as a primary resource on all leave programs (FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, parental, personal leave, and workers' compensation), advising employees, managers, and HR partners
      • Oversee leave case management in partnership with third-party administrators, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of escalations
      • Guide managers through their responsibilities in the leave and accommodation process, including documentation and compliance best practices
      • Maintain and audit leave records, dashboards, and reports to monitor trends, outcomes, and return-to-work metrics
      • Educate employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and benefits through tools such as manager toolkits, FAQs, and training
      • Support reasonable accommodation processes and coordinate with stakeholders on return-to-work planning
      • Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure correct pay and deductions during leaves
      • Analyze leave data to identify trends and recommend process improvements

      Benefits Administration (30%)
      • Support the day-to-day administration of health, retirement, and insurance benefits, ensuring smooth plan operations and high-quality service delivery
      • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, delivering accurate, timely, and customer-focused responses
      • Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve benefit-related issues
      • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA)
      • Monitor benefit plan participation and cost trends; support preparation of reports and government filings
      • Assist in open enrollment planning, communication (including presentations), testing, and post-enrollment audits

      401(k) Plan Administration (20%)
      • Serve as a liaison between employees, payroll, and the retirement plan provider
      • Monitor and audit 401(k) contributions, eligibility, and enrollments for accuracy
      • Assist with annual plan audits and nondiscrimination testing (e.g., ADP/ACP testing)
      • Support the delivery of employee education materials and retirement plan communications
      • Help troubleshoot employee issues related to loans, distributions, and rollovers

      Experience, Education and Qualifications:
      • Bacheloru2019s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience required
      • 5 years of related experience, with direct experience in leave of absence management
      • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other applicable federal/state leave laws
      • Familiarity with health plan design and benefits operations (e.g., EDI, COBRA, ACA compliance)
      • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems; Workday preferred
      • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
