- Job Type: This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.
- Shifts: Monday to Friday

- To work as section Quality Lead, ensuring appropriate quality systems are in place and maintained.
- To be aware of and work to appropriate accreditation standards: UKAS ISO 15189
- To be aware of and work to the Blood Safety and Quality Regulations (2005)
- Contribute to the development, evaluation and implementation of new tests by setting quality standards, contributing to the production of SOPs and documentation of staff training.
- Undertake routine and specialist laboratory techniques in line with department standard operating procedures.
- To comply with departmental, TLC and national policies for the safe, secure and confidential processing, and storage of patient and other laboratory information. Skills & Experience
- HCPC registration
- Minimum of five years post registration as a BMS in Blood Transfusion
- Experience of Quality Management in a Blood Transfusion laboratory
- Previous involvement with preparation for MHRA inspection and/or with UKAS ISO15189 accreditation
