About the role
We are currently seeking a full time Senior Structural Engineer - Bridges to join our Perth based transport delivery team and play an integral role in leading the growth of our bridges portfolio. With many exciting major infrastructure projects in the pipeline, this role will be responsible in overseeing the delivery of projects to ensure the on-going profitability and success of the business by providing technical leadership on local design outputs and ensuring all work meet the requirements of the clients and stakeholders.
Day to day tasks would involve:
· Provide bridge / structural designs, and technical reviews associated with various projects including bridge rehabilitation schemes, strengthening and replacement works.
· Develop design concepts and carry out detailed design of simple and complex bridges, underpasses, retaining walls and other infrastructure structures.
· Prepare design documentation, technical reports and client specifications.
· Provide design expertise on large and small projects during tender and proposal writing.
· Manage design packages of small- and large-scale projects.
· Liaise with stakeholders to ensure that work is within scope and complies with appropriate standards and guidelines.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
· 8 - 10 years of experience in the design, and delivery of bridge engineering packages within multi-disciplinary transport infrastructure projects
· Well versed in Structural/ Bridge analysis design software such as STRAND 7, SPACEGASS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, AND MIDAS.
· Previous experience in load rating and strengthening of timber bridges.
· Previous experience working on major projects (MRWA / PTA or similar)
