      The Role

      We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Broking Operations Team at Willis Towers Watson (Mauritius) Ltd. The role will focus on servicing Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and Personal Lines clients, assisting with the day-to-day placement of new and renewal policies. You will be responsible for evaluating clients’ insurance requirements, providing excellent customer service and collaborate closely with insurers to ensure that clients receive the appropriate
      coverage whilst adhering to underwriting guidelines and industry standards.

      • Act as an intermediary between the clients-prospects and insurance carriers.
      • Listen and understand to the clients’ needs and find appropriate insurance solutions on the markets.
      • Assist in the negotiation and implementation of insurance policies all whilst giving support and providing advice to the clients-prospects in relation to such insurance policies during the length of its contract.
      • Obtain the necessary underwriting information, assist in responding to technical queries, and prepare quotes and summaries for clients.
      • Request quotes on behalf of clients-prospects, negotiate to obtain the best terms, conditions, prepare placing slips and other documentation, etc.
      • Ensure efficient follow up with clients-prospects and insurers as and when needed.
      • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Claims, Risk, Compliance and Finance) for the overall management of assigned portfolio.
      • Processing and filing of documents on the internal management information systems (MIS)
      • Build strong relationships with clients both internal and external, collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
      • Adhere to the company’s compliance policies and procedures

      Qualifications

      The Requirements

      • Degree in Management / Economics / Finance or related field acceptable to the Company, or professional insurance qualifications (e.g. of the CII) or progress towards such qualifications.
      • Minimum 3 years’ experience in General Insurance (insurer or broker) with a focus on SME & Personal Lines.
      • Knowledge of insurance underwriting practices and the ability to provide appropriate product coverage options.
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with clients and insurers.
      • Eye for details and strong organizational skills.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with underwriting software or management systems.
