- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Service Designer
- Expertise in requirements gathering, customer journey mapping, and service design frameworks
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Proficiency in analysis tools and techniques (e.g. SWOT, Lean, Six Sigma, PESTLE)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with business modelling, process improvement, and IT systems design
- A collaborative and inclusive approach to working with others
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. business, IT, economics)
- Professional certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA
- Familiarity with the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA 8)

We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help us evolve our Rail Operations capability. You’ll be at the heart of our transformation journey — applying strategic insight and service design practices to drive improvements across our transport services ecosystem.
Based in Auckland or Wellington, you’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders to map out current processes, develop customer journeys, and help design integrated solutions that are effective, customer-focused, and future-ready.
You’ll be part of a team moving from traditional analysis to a more holistic, service design-led approach — using your skills to bridge gaps, improve delivery, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
