  Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
  
  Location(s): Oakland, CA
  
  
  Job Responsibilities
  • SME on Power BI and Excel reporting for a subgroup within the Electric Transmission & Substation organization.
  • Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data.
  • Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations.
  • Understand the business operations aspect of the data to presents findings and recommendations to leaders.
  Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of business analyst experience, or related role.
  Desired Education and Experience
  • Master of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 6+ years of business analyst experience, or related role.
  • Experience working for a utility, ideally electric utility.
  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in Power Platform; with an emphasis on Power BI Desktop usage of DAX and Power Query and connecting and transforming multiple data source types.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Broad knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics.
  • Ability to understand and explain the underlying business meaning and drivers to explain the data.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Strong organization to prioritize and track all work and action items with minimal supervisory oversight.
  • Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity.
