      Department Overview

      Complex Billing is a critical component of everyday customer care and business operations. Our success in delighting customers and rewarding shareholders is contingent upon an energized workforce and effective partnering with our internal business partners. Benchmarking, performance measurement metrics, the Premier Employee Engagement Index, and the Customer Satisfaction and Brand Health Survey Index are the key indicators utilized to measure Complex Billing performance.

      Our mission is to provide excellent customer service through the provision of efficient, timely and accurate billing. Our goal around customer service is to enhance the customer experience by improving billing timeliness and accuracy for our large gas commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers. Our goal around cost management is to reduce costs through efficiency improvements to meet our approved budget. And finally, our goal around employee satisfaction is to attract and retain high performing employees by making Customer Billing a department that values, supports, and develops its most important asset.

      Position Summary

      Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages, and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication, and training.

      This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

      PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. Although we estimate the successful candidate, hired into this role, will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

      This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

      A reasonable salary range is:

      Bay Area Minimum: $98,000.00
      Bay Area Maximum: $146,000.00

      OR

      California Minimum: $93,000.00
      California Maximum: $139,000.00

      Job Responsibilities

      • Demonstrates advanced skill level on multiple tasks within the assigned job.
      • Performs analysis on complex data billing utilizing SmartMeter and MV90 data.
      • Perform complex metering and billing research internally and externally.
      • Manages small to mid-size projects or initiatives.
      • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders for billing resolution.
      • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in current rates and tariffs in addition to billing process and program changes.
      • Solves moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
      • May provide guidance, coaching or training to less experienced employees.
      • Performs complex tasks with general instructions, using established policies, procedures, or guidelines as reference.

      Qualifications

      Minimum:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
      • Job-related experience, 4 years

      Desired:

      • Experience working independently, without direct supervision.
      • Ability to prioritize, be highly organized and accountable for all work.
      • Ability to choose from different analytical methods, approaches, and tactics to meet business analysis requirements in an efficient manner.
      • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with demanding time constraints.
      • Possess qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
      • Strong oral and written communication skills
      • Experience with Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)
      • Advanced problem-solving and strong math skills
      • Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere and understand your role in the team.
      • Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
      • Strong project management knowledge and skills to lead project teams.
      • Excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
      • Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
