      Senior Business Analyst

      Do work that matters

      As a Senior Business Analyst in the team, you will have the responsibilities that will include but not limited to:

      • Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders

      • Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

      • Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.

      • Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.

      • Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable

      • Create detailed user stories to support delivery

      • Work close with squad members, including but not limited to Product Owners, Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Tech Leads, Engineers to identify, capture, plan and deliver changes

      Capital Structuring (CapS) team is part of CBA’s Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) business and holds end-to-end accountability for key lending products distributed through Institutional Banking and Business Banking. The team is critical in driving improvement in lending capability, process, and client experience. Capital Structuring is focused on structuring capital solutions for our clients and giving clients a seamless and integrated experience when they are using our credit products and services.

      Tech skills

      We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

      • Minimum 5 years’ business analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role; from a large organisation

      • Minimum 3 years’ Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation

      • Knowledge and expertise in end-to-end Lending activities or equivalent, preferably from Financial Services or Banking would be an advantage

      • Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.

      • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders

      • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills

      • Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference

      • Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines

      • Demonstrated flexibility and resilience in responding to changing priorities.

      • Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
