- Support core financial processes (annual budget, quarterly forecasts, monthly reporting) to build a solid and compelling financial plan that meets the expectations of the program
- Lead month-end process through the preparation of journal entries and reporting of operational metrics
- Support stakeholders with analyzing and evaluating unit/division level financials on a monthly basis
- Provide support to the UHN Procurement and Supply Chain Team through regular meetings with stakeholders to investigate variances while identifying risks and opportunities
- Coordinate monthly program level financial review presentations and attend monthly team/business meetings to discuss performance
- Model and analyze the financial components of contracts, including terms, pricing structures, and payment schedules, to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and financial feasibility.
- Identify opportunities and solutions to optimize, streamline, scale and continuously improve programs and services and develop improvement experiments, data-driven recommendations, and actionable implementation plans.
- Participate in ad-hoc operational and financial projects by providing financial/statistical analysis and strategic insights to facilitate optimal and timely decision making
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and operate with a high level of independence
- Perform cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent program; CPA and MBA is an asset
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years related experience in a financial environment analyzing and interpreting complex financial/business data
- Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to organize, control and coordinate a variety of activities in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
- Experience in development of business cases, including conducting environmental scans, risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, performance measures, identifying trends, and developing recommendations.
- Ability to synthesize and present complex data, explaining key elements, drawing insight, and making recommendations to stakeholders
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Ariba are assets
- Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive financial and clinical data and information
- Highly motivated team player willing to mentor less experienced colleagues

Position Summary
As an integral member of the Finance team supporting the Procurement and Supply Chain portfolio, the Senior Finance Business Analyst is responsible for providing financial planning and reporting for the portfolio, as well as performing financial analysis to enhance procurement processes and identify risks and opportunities. They will collaborate closely with Sourcing, Purchasing, Logistics, Decision Support and Clinical partners to drive innovative financial modelling, operational efficiencies and insightful analysis.
