- Req#: 1707
- Develop and execute strategies for reservoir engineering workflows including but not limited to reservoir simulation, aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on reservoir simulation, interpretation and analysis techniques.
- Evaluate expert guidance on reservoir data processing, interpretation and analysis techniques.
- Evaluate existing workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product sales staff to integrate reservoir engineering workflows into broader project objectives.
- Degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- +10 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong focus on reservoir simulation.
- Expertise in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g. Eclipse, tNavigator, Nexus, CMG, Petrel, etc.).
- Understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) environments and their application in reservoir simulation.
- Familiarity with geological concepts and reservoir characterization.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, especially in the context of cloud-based HPC solution (Microsoft Azure knowledge is a plus).
- Strong client-facing skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Independent and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Malay.
- Experience in project management or leadership roles is advantageous.
