      Job Title- Business Functional Analyst (BFA) – Associate

      Location- Pune, India

      Role Description

      Our Investments – agile teams at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank (TDI) develop and maintain applications for securities business of Private Customers. Changes are generally announced on short notice due to regulatory requirements or time to market challenges. Quality and stability has priority together with time to market.

      By working in an Agile DevOps model, acting a pilot for Investments, and actively improving the model, we achieve very high quality while continuously delivering value to our clients.       As a Business Functional Analyst with Mainframe expertise, you will embark on a dynamic and collaborative journey, partnering closely with business stakeholders and the development team. Your primary responsibility will be to thoroughly understand and analyze complex business problems, challenges, and objectives. By leveraging your deep understanding of business processes and your expertise in mainframe technologies, you will design and propose innovative IT solutions that align perfectly with the Deutsche Bank’s goals and requirements.

      Your Key Responsibilities

      • You are part of the agile development team, responsible for the functional analysis of epics and user stories in strong collaboration with all stakeholders (e.g., business units, operations, development team, Product Owner)
      • You will the primary focus on the functional and technical design and documentation of the user stories in a sprint, working closely with the engineers, ensuring that their implementation aligns with business needs and architecture.
      • You would be supporting the product owner and subject matter experts for successful Testing and product adoption by business.
      • You will maintain data lineage and flow across the applications of the domain and maintain quality which could be provided to audits on very short notice.
      • You contribute to team standards, engineering best practices, quality standards and help ensuring that the team meets them.
      • You actively participate and contribute into the sprint activities and ceremonies.

      Your Skills and Experience

      • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a in a similar role, preferably in the financial industry.
      • Demonstrated expertise in analysing complex business processes, identifying pain points, and translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.
      • Basic technical capabilities and infrastructure knowledge (e.g., Cloud Technology, Oracle database, Linux)
      • knowledge of COBOL, DB2, JCL, OPC, is a must.
      • Knowledge and experience in IMS-DB is an added advantage.
      • Experience with Incident Management, IT Service Management, DevOps process workflow, Change Management
      • Experience with Compliance process (i.e., security monitoring, roadmap compliance, access management-SoD, etc),
      • Experience with tooling across the Software development Lifecycle/DevOps: Jira, Confluence etc.)
      • Strong ability to manage unexpected events; control and deal with them quickly and efficiently. When confronted with a problem, you will need to collect information, analyze situation, point out solutions and apply them to solve perfectly in reasonable time.
      • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building effective partnerships with business stakeholders, and development teams.
      • Pro-active team player with very good communication and excellent English language skills for interacting with stakeholders.
      • Experience with working together with Agile/SCRUM teams and their methods and tooling.
      • Comfortable with change and able to adapt to new technologies, processes, and business needs. Experience with change management processes and an understanding of their importance in a dynamic environment.
