      About this role :

      Wells Fargo is seeking a senior business manager to support the operating activities of the EMEA Markets business. Primary responsibility will be coverage for the EMEA Credit and Structured Product Group (“SPG”) Trading and Sales desk but there will also be scope to work across the Markets business on specific projects and requirements. The role holder will report into the EMEA Markets COO and will collaborate and partner with business leadership to establish priorities, drive initiatives, and to further enhance the business risk and control framework.

      In this role, you will:

      • Serve as a key representative of EMEA based SPG and Credit Trading and Sales businesses for incoming and outgoing business and firmwide requirements
      • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and business leads
      • Day to day support to the business to identify, address, drive root cause analysis and clarity on sometimes complex issues, ensuring appropriate enhancements to the risk and control framework
      • Find efficiencies and create strategic solutions to support the controls and operating efficiency of the business
      • Ensure that your business line procedures are up to date and that all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to by everyone on the desk
      • Serve as primary liaison between the business unit and the various support partners, driving accountability and plans to support current and future requirements
      • Plan for, and evaluate impact to the business of industry and regulatory trends, where applicable design and implement solutions
      • Work in collaboration with the Global Markets business management team to ensure a joined up global approach on work related to specific business requirements as well a broader Markets projects
      • Coordinate and support internal audits and external regulatory requests related to EMEA Markets
      • Create internal communications, senior level presentations, off sites etc. for your business line
      • Serve on industry dealer forums/committees as applicable to your business line
      • Ensure disaster recovery needs of the business are up to date and tested

      Required Qualifications:

      • Corporate & investment banking business management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
      • Management experience
      • MUST have experience working in a Markets business in a business management role or similar capacity supporting trading.
      • Knowledge of credit & derivatives products, electronic trading, ABS/ CMBS
      • Knowledge of complex technology and operational platforms and processes, as well as an understanding of compliance/regulatory rules and accounting rules governing marketing and trading
      • A strong understanding of the risks that arise from a trading and sales desk, and can demonstrate a risk and control mindset
      • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
      • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines while maintaining high energy levels
      • Self-starter behaviour, able to recognize opportunities for improvement in the business and to act on those opportunities.
      • Provide leadership and positive collaboration across a matrixed environment
      • Pragmatic approach to problem solving
      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
      • Exceptional organizational, analytical and documentations skills
