- The Business Performance Analyst, Senior's primary function will create monthly vendor/contractor performance metrics and dashboards.
- Facilitates monthly reporting of results for transmission, distribution and vegetation management vendor performance meeting.
- The Senior Business Performance Analyst will implement and maintain custom data and analytic reporting to provide insight into and facilitate the day-to-day operations of Electric Operations Contract Management and which supports the end-to-end contract lifecycle.
- He/She will evolve the role to lead clients from simple, pre-existing business intelligence solutions to forward-looking "what's next" capabilities using more advanced predictive and prescriptive tools.
- The successful candidate will work across functional teams and partner with peers and leaders on process change implementation and ongoing measurement and reporting.
- Facilitates monthly and weekly metrics reporting related to vendor performance
- Measures vendor performance requirements. Collects data to identify root cause of problems on performances and implements solutions for improvements
- Senior Business Performance Analyst provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve vendor performance
- Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls. Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques, processes, and implementation
- Determines data needs, collects data, selects from different analytical techniques to conduct root cause analysis, determines issues design,s and maintains operational tools and reports
- Projects are moderately to highly complex and require selecting methods, approaches, and tactics to resolve problems and obtain solutions
- Creates analysis that accurately describes the state of the business
- Creates complex and automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery, ensuring accurate data transformation
- Design data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, and write clear and concise data findings using power queries and power BI reporting
- Applies judgment to solve problems of diverse scope
- Typically receives general instructions on new assignments or projects. Receives little instruction on recurring assignments
- May assist in coaching and developing less experienced staff and end users
- Understands business process needs and develops solutions
- Work Execution and Operational support, ability to travel 3 to 5% of time
- Background working with SAP, Palantir Foundry is desirable, PowerBI
- Relationship building
- Can work in a fast-paced operational environment independently once trained
- 5 years of relevant business experience
- BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science/Information
- Business Systems, SAP
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Pivots & Tables, V Look up, etc)
- Advanced in Microsoft BI stack, including PowerView and PowerPivot; PowerBI, DAX
- Advanced in MS Excel/Access/PowerPoint
- Experience with metrics/dashboard creation, reporting, and presenting data
- Experience working with data stored across multiple databases/data sources
- MBA or other advanced degrees.
- Advanced statistical, modeling, and process improvement knowledge
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Advanced reporting knowledge and experience with multiple reporting tools
- Demonstrated experience in data visualization best practices using power BI
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to keep pace and contribute to a high-performing team
- Self-Starter
- Advanced problem-solving skills and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with utility operation
- Our client accepts candidates local to the Bay Area/Work location (Oakland GO).
- A laptop will be provided.
- Some travel outside of assigned work location, potentially 1-2X per month.
- Calls/ Meetings will be via MS Teams

Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Pay range: $60 - 65/hr
Location: Oakland, CA
Work Type: Hybrid. Will be required on-site in Oakland 1-2X per month as needed
