      Department Overview

      The Corporate Affairs, Regulatory Proceedings and Rates Department supports the company’s functional areas by providing regulatory expertise, managing the development, approval and implementation of regulatory filings, rates and tariffs, and advocating the business needs to our stakeholders and regulators. Regulatory Proceedings and Rates leads the business in achieving company goals by working with regulators and other stakeholders. Today’s business needs innovative regulatory ideas and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

      Position Summary

      The Senior Case Manager will be responsible for managing regulatory proceedings for assigned cases, ensuring compliance with regulatory directives and stakeholder engagement. You may also be involved with the development of case materials, process improvements and other special projects or initiatives.

      This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

      PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

      A reasonable salary range is:

      Bay Area Minimum: $95,000

      Bay Area Maximum: $143,000

      and/or

      California Minimum: $90,000

      California Maximum: $136,000

      Job Responsibilities

      • With leadership guidance, manage the regulatory process for risk and climate resilience focused proceedings, as well as other proceedings that may arise.
      • Develop relationships to collaborate externally with stakeholders to further the company’s objectives.
      • Review and assist subject matter experts with development of testimony, work papers and discovery responses, settlement documents and communications materials; anticipate and understand the impact and proactively address issues.
      • Evaluate and develop recommendations on cost recovery, ratemaking, customer programs and tariffs; continually look for and recommend process improvements.
      • Ensure all compliance items are identified, tracked, monitored and implemented.
      • Review and summarize proposed decisions and other regulatory filings; considering the impact of case developments on the company as a whole, provide insight into implications and make recommendations of possible courses of action relating to case comments and/or proposed decisions; and recommend changes in case strategy resulting from anticipated or unanticipated decisions, developments, comments.
      • Communicates effectively on case strategy or policy issues with company management or with outside parties. Utilizes broad knowledge of the case and the functional area to proactively reach out to external entity contacts to gather information to support the case.

      Qualifications

      Minimum:

      • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
      • Job-related experience, 5 years

      Desired:

      • Advanced degree
      • Risk management experience
      • Climate resilience experience
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, and project management skills
      • Public speaking and presentations abilities to various levels of employees, including senior leadership
      • Ability to analyze regulatory documents and understand implications to company
      • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
      • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
