- Recruit and lead teams of junior linguist-analysts, overseeing their work and mentoring them
- Organize the non-alerting collection of publicly available information, either using tools or individually
- Collaborate with technical staff to ingest, process, and structure collected data for exploitation
- Exploit collected data to produce high-quality analytical deliverables
- Present analytical findings to analyst and executive audiences
- Variety: You will work on multiple programs. You and your manager will have discussions to ensure your assignments are on track with your growth goals and interest areas.
- Flexibility: You will have the opportunity for a flexible work schedule. Subject to program requirements, you can set your hours while fulfilling 80 hours every two weeks. Additionally, while classified work requires onsite work, most staff can schedule about 20% of their time as work from home.

- China Subject Matter Experts: We are looking for staff with a strong interest (and ideally a track record) in China research w/ strong linguistic and analytic skills.
- Generalists:You’ll typically focus your work on the domain(s) of your specialty or preference, but a strong multi-domain awareness and ability is required. You should have a curiosity to learn new technology.
- Tangible: Your work will not be academic, but support government customers with real missions that are critically important to the national interest.

- Supply chain and export control analysis
- BS/BA with 12 years, MS/MA with 10 years, PhD with 7 years
- At least 12 years of experience performing national security-related analysis using Chinese language skills
- Advanced Chinese reading skills. Current proficiency can be validated either by standardized testing scores (ILR 2+ for reading) and/or by relevant work experience, writing samples, or references
- Subject matter expertise with respect to both publicly available and ‘grey literature’ information sources in China, as well as relevant aspects of China’s strategic development, including: defense science and technology development, China’s human capital ecosystem for information technology and information warfare, and China’s military cyber capabilities
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Chinese language aid software (e.g., Wenlin, Pleco, machine translation)
- Ability to lead teams of junior linguist-analysts or work individually, including 5+ years of team lead or project management experience directly on these topics
- U.S Citizenship
- Active Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

Role and responsibilities for this position:
The Senior Chinese-Linguist Analyst will manage the full lifecycle of advanced Chinese language exploitation, starting with curation of non-alerting collection of Chinese sources all the way through to high-quality analytic production in the furtherance of customer missions. You will perform one or more of the following tasks:

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.About the company
