What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review title commitments and attorney title opinion letters to identify issues needing resolution prior to closing
- Coordinate with consumers, creditors, attorneys, and underwriters to resolve title-related matters
- Update title commitments and draft necessary legal documents, including deeds and affidavits
- Communicate with all parties involved in the transaction to ensure timely progress and resolution of issues
- Confirm all outstanding matters are resolved before the close of escrow
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of seven years of title curative experience
- Deep expertise in title clearance requirements and familiarity with technical legal documents
- Ability to read and interpret title commitments and prepare pro forma title policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with various stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files under tight deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Maryland, Virginia, DC, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and/or New Jersey markets
- Proactive problem solver with a resourceful approach to resolving issues
- Positive demeanor and ability to support teammates in a collaborative environment
- Confidence in editing technical legal documents such as affidavits and indemnity agreements
