      Job summary

      Applications are invited to apply for the position of Senior Clinical Fellow in Plastic Surgery at Bedford Hospital. This is a fixed term post for 12 months.

      The appointment would be suitable for a doctor who is intent on a career in Plastic Surgery. MRCS is essential, but although an advantage to applicants no previous experience in laser work is necessarily required as training will be given. The post offers rich experience in this field in a purpose built unit. It would also provide a candidate waiting for a numbered SpR post with the opportunity to produce research papers.

      Main duties of the job

      The post-holder will have general responsibilities in plastic surgery and to the laser treatment centre.

      The successful candidate may have the opportunity to undertake clinical projects as part of the Department's ongoing research programme.
