Draft, collate, brief, review, and obtain approvals for commercial and contract negotiations, and contract variations to Telstra's standard agreements and bespoke customer contracts
Analyze complex commercial related contract positions that deviate from company’s standard position and/or terms and agreements, and balance risk tolerance of such positions while driving profitable growth.
Act as trusted advisor in handling contract and commercial queries, facilitate the resolution of issues by applying professional judgment, concepts, procedures, and effective engagement of the appropriate stakeholders.
Contract Management of strategic accounts, including:
managing the customer contractual relationship inc. governance obligations
maximising contract value, minimising margin leakage & scope creep and identifying opportunities to cross/up sell services
managing compliance to contractual terms
managing contract risk including advising on risk mitigation strategies and consequences of failure to comply with commitments during the contract lifecycle
Provide advice, counsel and recommendations on commercial and contractual matters , and contract interpretation
Build strong and effective relationships with internal operational stakeholders (including Sales , Legal, Project Delivery, Service Management, Business Operations and Pricing) to support the management of contract deliverables, risks, and obligations
Recommend and support initiatives to implement best practices in commercial & contract management and drive standardisation across regions
Other duties as may be assigned in relation to Commercial Contract Management
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant commercial and/or contracts management, administration or paralegal experience
Experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts and contracts management for Telecom or other technology industry is a plus.
Excellent time management & organisation skills with ability to manage multiple work demands simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Good negotiation skills and strong stakeholder management
A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential.
Self-starter with strong bias for action and keen attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and computer skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint .

You will be responsible for managing the Americas customer contracts as well as being the first point of contact for routine contract queries across all regions.
As a Senior Contract Manager, you will maximise contract value and minimise risk in the management of our customer agreements.
