      Job Description:

      As the Senior Communications Consultant, you’re responsible for building authentic conversations and engaging content across various platforms. You’re a solid copywriter, communicator, and creativity is in your DNA. You have a keen sense of emotional storytelling. You’ll be part of a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven team of professionals, who have a recognized brand within our advisory channel.

      What will you do?

      • Write content that engages and influences prospect, Client, advisor and leader audiences across different media, ensuring consistency of tone and messages, aligned to business objectives

      • Deliver promotional and business communications and manage the editing and approval processes

      • Develop best-in-class Client engagement thought leadership for advisors

      • Optimize email marketing performance and increase conversions through innovative nurture campaigns, A/B testing and sound analysis of user behaviours

      • Identify new content opportunities, develop and source content to deliver cohesive and compelling stories across all channels

      • Help to optimize marketing efforts with segmentation and digital tactics that nurture and engage target audiences

      • Collaborate with stakeholders, creative and project teams through all stages of projects to ensure an effective, polished final product

      • Champion advisor- and Client-oriented marketing approaches, consult with key business partners and recommend the appropriate approaches and vehicles to achieve business and marketing objectives

      What do you need to succeed?

      • Post-secondary education in marketing, journalism, or communication-related field

      • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in marketing promotions roles with writing and content development experience

      • Proven experience of developing content for automated email marketing campaigns

      • Knowledge of financial services industry, Clients, products, services, distribution channels

      • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required in Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide

      • Excellent interpersonal skills – must be able to consult, influence and negotiate with people from diverse backgrounds and levels throughout the organization

      • Ability to understand advanced industry concepts and distill them into relatable content

      • Creativity and solid understanding of marketing principles to create engaging copy that influences audiences

      • Results driven and solution-oriented; takes ownership for achieving results

      • Strong leadership skills to drive action, manage complexity and develop innovative solutions

      • Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions

      • Adept at juggling multiple priorities, with the ability to work independently and in a dynamic, multi-site team environment

      • Ability to embrace change and adapt to constantly evolving business priorities

      The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
