      Scope of Position

      EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience.       This position is responsible for assisting the Community Engagement Manager for the South Landowner and Community Engagement Program at a variety of project sites in a variety of states. The Senior Community Engagement Specialist will conduct desktop analysis, manage community donations, and publicly represent EDFR in our project communities along with performing administrative duties.

      Responsibilities

      • Provides support to the Community Engagement Manager including but not limited to: Supporting an increased community presence for operational projects (tours, educational partnerships, and community events), event & supply logistical planning, providing administrative support, developing communications materials such as letters, newsletters, and presentations, and provides general service inquiry support to internal and external partners.
      • Conducts desktop research, analysis, and reporting on local permitting requirements and community sentiment towards development and renewable energy.
      • Recommends, coordinates, and records donations to various community organizations on behalf of our projects.
      • Assists Community Engagement Manager with development, documentation, and execution of project specific community outreach plans.
      • Assists Community Engagement Manager with stakeholder relationship management and represents the company at various events including but not limited to landowner and community stakeholder meetings, public events, industry conferences, and local government forums.
      • Stays informed of local developments and activities through monitoring the local press and social media, and proactively drafting earned media pieces when appropriate.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Working Conditions:

      60% of time is spent in the office environment utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 40% of time is spent outside of the office traveling to EDF offices, project sites, and the corporate office, in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.

      Qualifications

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Policy, Engineering, or related discipline required. Master’s degree preferred.

      Education/Experience:

      • Minimum of 3-years related experience in energy industry, public affairs, local government affairs, or zoning and permitting is a strong plus.

      Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

      Requires knowledge of:

      • Microsoft Office and Teams
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Public speaking experience
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-
      • Ability to work independently within a team-oriented

      Physical Requirements:

      Requires ability to handle light duty administrative tasks such as stuffing envelopes, preparing (no more than 20 pound) boxes for shipping/receiving, logistical meeting set up and support.

      This role’s annual base salary range is between $72,000 and $120,000
