Leverage experience and expertise to design, develop, implement and evaluate compensation programs, policies and procedures that align with the company's strategy and objectives.
Partner with senior management to provide expert guidance and consulting on compensation-related matters, including base pay, variable pay, benefits and employee recognition programs.
Conduct financial modelling and cost/benefit analysis to ensure accurate budgeting and management of compensation related expenses. Partner with PPI Finance to ensure effective communication and planning for potential changes/impact to the budget.
Lead the design of pay for performance incentive plans across different sales teams. Understand key performance indicators and design sales plans to reward achievement of sales objectives. Work closely with Finance Data Analytics team to understand sales results to effectively calculate sales bonuses.
Manage the compensation cycle including quarterly sales bonus payments and year-end salary review process.
Conduct market research and analysis to ensure PPI’s rewards programs are competitive and compliant with relevant legislation. Engage iA’s Global Compensation team as internal partner as required.
Develop and deliver training programs on compensation policies and procedures for leaders and other Talent and Culture team members.
Conduct review of roles and salary bands to ensure alignment, market competitiveness and internal equity.
Conduct regular audits of compensation programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Complete monthly metrics reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a finance-related field
Certified Compensation Management Specialists, or Certified Compensation Professional
7+ years of experience in progressive roles in the areas of compensation, role evaluation, and employee benefits programs, preferably in the financial services industry
Extensive knowledge of compensation best practices, programs, policies, procedures, evaluation and applicable legislation
Experience developing and running data models, effectively leveraging data to support informed decision making
Direct experience working with sales leaders to develop and implement sales incentive plans
Previous experience with Workday an asset
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proficiency with MS office tools and advanced proficiency with Excel
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to handle matters requiring a high level of diplomacy, sensitivity and confidentiality
Highly effective organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Solutions oriented with demonstrated curiosity and creativity in new situations
Proactive, self-starter, confident in taking the lead
High degree of comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities
In-depth knowledge and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply pay equity and other employment legislation related to total rewards
Bilingualism (English and French) an asset

Senior Compensation Analyst
Reporting to the Vice-President, Talent and Culture, the Senior Compensation Analyst will have direct responsibility for designing, implementing and managing compensation programs, policies and procedures that align with PPI’s business objectives. Working closely with business leaders, the Senior Compensation Analyst will have a direct and positive impact on employee engagement through competitive and meaningful rewards initiatives that foster and recognize high performance.
