      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct prospective and retrospective chart reviews to ensure accurate coding practices
      - Identify coding discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvement
      - Communicate audit results and findings to providers and ancillary staff
      - Provide ongoing education on coding standards and compliance regulations
      - Collaborate with various departments to ensure accuracy in reported services

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma or equivalent; seven years of relevant experience may substitute for education
      - Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience
      - At least 4 years of procedural and diagnostic coding experience
      - Must have AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC®) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS®) certification
      - Maintain continuing education credits for respective coding certification

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with SNOMED, SNODENT, and LOINC coding systems
      - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology
      - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
      - Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
      - Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
