      PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

      The Senior Construction Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with contractual obligations. This position provides leadership, project management, and strategic direction to help bridge the traditional energy, chemicals, and resource sectors with sustainable energy solutions. The Senior Construction Coordinator supports Worley’s commitment to delivering sustainable change, helping customers transition to a more sustainable future while meeting current global energy demands.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Lead the construction project management efforts, from initial planning through project completion, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and contractual terms.
      • Provide clear guidance and direction to project teams, setting goals and devising strategies to meet project objectives while adhering to Worley’s sustainability goals.
      • Administer project policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with both organizational goals and customer requirements.
      • Adapt to evolving organizational plans, setting the course for work teams and ensuring solutions are aligned with Worley’s corporate policies and sustainability ambitions.
      • Collaborate with senior leaders and internal resources to resolve complex technical issues, offering innovative and integrated solutions to advance project progress.
      • Communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and management, presenting proposals, updates, and reports on construction progress, risks, and opportunities.
      • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that best practices in construction coordination, safety, and sustainability are implemented across projects.
      • Manage direct reports, if applicable, and provide guidance on performance, growth, and development within the team.

      • University degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with extensive experience in construction coordination, project management, or a similar technical role.
      • Typically over seven years of experience in construction project management, demonstrating a deep understanding of both traditional and emerging energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.
      • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make independent recommendations for large projects, considering financial, environmental, and organizational impacts.
      • Experience managing minor and less complex projects, with the ability to set direction for teams and deliver results aligned with corporate and customer objectives.
      • Expertise in systems, processes, and tools related to construction coordination, with the ability to guide teams and troubleshoot issues as needed.
      • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inform, persuade, and collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership on complex matters.
      • Commitment to sustainability, with a clear understanding of how to integrate sustainable solutions into construction projects to meet Worley’s long-term goals.
      • Demonstrated ability to work with broad duties and objectives, taking initiative in managing project priorities and ensuring compliance with project policies.
