      Our Construction Services Group is seeking a Senior Construction Project Representative to serve our Myrtle Beach, SC location!       As a member of our Construction Services Group team, you will provide oversight of the construction activities to assure their compliance with the project plans and specifications, prepare daily observation reports, assist in preparing the proper project documentation, and coordination with project management staff. Our RPR's enjoy building a team atmosphere with the construction contractor to deliver an exceptional product for the client and community. This role will be a supervisory role and lead our Construction Services Group in South Carolina.

      WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

      • Leads a designated work group of staff responsible for oversight of multiple construction projects of varying size and complexity.
      • Responsible for contract administration on one or multiple projects of average to above-average complexity.
      • Responsible for determining and coordinating construction needs and workloads for inspections, surveying, and material testing, during preparation of final design and through construction.
      • Provides leadership and guidance to Construction Managers and Project Managers in areas of construction-related issues, including change orders, document management, and State or Federal Aid audit compliance.
      • Coordinates with Project Managers to assign quality control and quality assurance of project plans and specifications among work group staff.
      • Performs constructability reviews on plans and specifications.
      • Leads efforts in training and professional development for work group staff, including monitoring and updating certification status and requirements (SCDOT, CEPSCI, etc.)
      • Participates in business development activities, including helping to identify opportunities and working with Business Development group to seek out opportunities and assist in GO/NO-GO decisions on specific opportunities.
      • Leads proposal compilation, cost estimating, and client outreach efforts in response to construction-specific client Requests for Proposals (RFP’s).
      • Other duties as assigned.

      WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university OR at least twenty (20) years of related industry experience. At least one (1) of the three following licenses or certifications preferred.
      • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (or ability to obtain within 6 months) (for candidates with Engineering degree).
      • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) (for candidates with a Construction Management degree).
      • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
      • Current or historical applicable Technical Certification for Federal Aid Inspection as per state requirements or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment.
      • Experience with multiple contract delivery methods (Design-Build, Construction Manager/General Contractor, etc.)
      • State and Federally funded construction documentation experience.
      • Exceptional interpersonal written & verbal communication skills.
      • Exemplary time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
      • Possess valid driver’s license and is insurable at Firm’s Standard rates.
      • Thorough knowledge in administrative software (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)
      • Understands and complies with company safety manual.
