      ABOUT THE ROLE

      As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible supporting our AWS Cloud Infrastructure. You will be working with ground-breaking technology stack in cloud environment. Propose and implement changes to CI/CD process. Monitoring and deploying our containerised cloud applications and ML models using cloud native DevOps tools.

      You'll be part of a team of engineers in our A-DMTA platform who work closely with IT colleagues in UK, US, Sweden, India, and Mexico. We have business partners and team members spread globally, so you would need a collaborative delivery approach to be successful. We prefer to use Agile but choose the appropriate approach for the project. Do you have a real passion for delivering well engineered data and analytics solutions? Because this will make you stand out from other specialists.

      Required qualifications and skills:

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalency (Computer Science or similar engineering discipline)
      • 8+ years overall IT industry experience
      • Hands-on experience using compute, storage, database, containerisation and of integrating AWS services.
      • Hands-on experience with AWS deployments and building AWS Services using Infrastructure as Code.
      • Experience creating AWS resources using Cloud Formation or a similar IaC tool.
      • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, we use AWS EKS but other flavours are ok to.
      • Good knowledge and practical experience of containerising applications to run on Kubernetes.
      • Experience creating and managing Helm charts is a big plus.
      • Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment for large, regulated businesses.
      • Understanding and Experience leveraging GIT as source code control and part of a deployment pipeline
      • Experience building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure. Prior success in automating a real-world production environment.
      • Experience with seamless/automated build pipelines used for release management across all environments.
      • Hands on experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, Argo etc.)
      • Ability to identify which AWS services meet a given technical requirement
      • Knowledge of recommended best practices for building secure and reliable applications on the AWS platform
      • Experience working with Prometheus, Grafana
      • Experience working with Istio, Ingress
      • In-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming language, associated frameworks, idioms, and best practices
      • Experience of building unit tests, integration tests, system tests and acceptance tests
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
      • Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal
