      About the role

      This role sits within the Portfolio group of IT's Strategy, Performance & Quality (SPQ) function. The SPQ Portfolio Team is tasked with driving best practise in Portfolio Management, the optimization of portfolio processes and ensuring strategic alignment of IT project portfolio investments.

      As the IT Portfolio Analyst , you will support the standardization , execution and optimization of portfolio related processes and tools supporting Global IT . Responsibilities include contributing to the delivery of portfolio process improvements, driving improvements in the configuration and use of PPM tools, defining new processes to integrate into other enterprise processes (e.g., resource management, IT Planning , Bill of IT, etc . ), supporting requirements definition for portfolio reporting, and execution of centralized processes .

      Typical Accountabilities

      This role is a combination of defining and implementing process improvements and executing centralized processes across multiple portfolios supporting the Global IT organization .

      • Support the d efin ition and implement ation of changes to portfolio management and other related processes in all stakeholder communities .

      • Manage , improve, and centralize IT portfolio financial processes .

      • Liaise with portfolio stakeholders and the Finance team as the SPQ Portfolio single point of contact during the quarterly process for internal resource recharges ensuring accurate submissions.

      • Support execution of monthly ServiceNow actuals load process from SAP in coordination with the Portfolio Managers .

      • Act as SME in the use of portfolio related tools and support changes in use and configuration . Also includes providing ServiceNow support for SPQ P ortfolio M anagers as needed.

      • Communicate portfolio performance and trends to senior management to identify risks at the earliest stage possible

      • Analys e portfolio related data (e.g., financial, resource, Portfolio Health etc.)

      • Identify opportunities for improvement initiatives in portfolio processes.

      • Involvement in ad hoc project activity to drive improvements across the SPQ Portfolio space.

      • Input to requirements for portfolio reporting and analytics.

      • Test changes made by the Business Agility Reporting Team and ensure impacts are highlighted prior to rollout

      • Communicate and support IT Functions on any changes to portfolio management process.

      • Support change management activities for portfolio improvement activities

      Education , Qualifications , Skills and Experience

      Essential

      • Relevant technical degree or equivalent

      • Experience with Project management/PMO activities

      • Understanding of Project financial management fundamentals

      • Knowledge and experience with p ortfolio management process es and tools

      • E xcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong customer focus and attention to detail

      • Self - starter with the ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize workload to meet deadlines

      • Continuous improvement mindset

      • I nfluencing and relationship building skills with AZ customers, peers, and third-party suppliers at all levels

      • Ability to develop and champion innovation opportunities and lead the implementation of change

      • Ability to work in diverse multinational teams

      Desirable

      • ServiceNow experience , SPM/PPM ideal

      • Demonstrated knowledge of additional business management areas such as f inancial s , workforce management and strategy.

      • Knowledge of Lean design processes and their application

      • Strong data analytics capabilities

      • PowerBI skills

      • Knowledge or experience of automation approach and/or tools

      • Experience with process mapping tools and techniques
