      Reporting into the Brand Content Manager, the Senior Content Writer will support the planning, creation and delivery of engaging and impactful internal and external content communications, ensuring alignment with the overall Howden strategy and brand Tone of Voice.


      This role requires an insightful thinker who can identify, create, manage and deliver on- and offline content targeted at diverse audiences through a variety of channels, including LinkedIn (our primary social platform). The role will work across a range of projects in the organisation, creating hard-working assets to support diverse business objectives and stakeholders across the Group. These projects will see you working with a variety of teams including Corporate Communications, Marketing, Events, CSR, Research and Analytics, and broking divisions.

      With strong experience in writing, delivering and curating content, the Senior Content Writer will be comfortable identifying and prioritising communications needs. This role will suit someone who is looking for an opportunity to create impactful, user-centric content in a fast-paced environment.


      Key responsibilities

      · Continuously identify opportunities for new content that will bring our unique brand to life. Work with experts across the group to conceptualise and plan a calendar of hard-working content that reflects the diversity of our global offering

      · Create high-quality multi-channel content in-line with team strategy, ensuring that all content in on-brand and fits our Tone of Voice guidelines. Identify opportunities to diversify the content offering of teams within the business

      · Apply an international perspective to all work. Collaborate with regional marketing leads to identify content opportunities, and support diverse teams across the globe to ensure quality and consistency of content

      · Develop creative ideas, suggest new innovative ways of delivering content and keep up-to-date with the latest digital communication trends. Work in collaboration with the creative studio to produce branded assets, and ensure that copy is an embedded part of the design process

      · Create engaging, audience-focussed content for LinkedIn, collaborating with our Social Media Manager and Regional Marketing Leads. Design and lead the delivery of engaging LinkedIn campaigns (organic and paid) that grow our following and raise our profile

      · Ideate, script, and storyboard videos to tell impactful stories. Work with video editor to ensure clarity and power of message

      · Contribute to the Content Team’s growing learning curriculum. Identify topics, develop resources, and deliver training

      · Monitor, analyse and report on the performance of digital channels/activities, feeding back to stakeholders and using the data to inform future activities

      · Proof read as required.


      Key Competencies (skills and abilities needed to perform role)
      · Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

      · Proven experience in a content creator or copywriting role

      · Excellent verbal communication skills

      · Listening and influencing skills. The confidence to deal with diverse stakeholders and explain communication
      techniques to them, as well as advise and where necessary offer an alternative point of view

      · Strong and proven experience of using a wide range of communications tools, including Hootsuite

      · The ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation and across different territories

      · Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects

      · Understanding of how to manage and deliver effective communications in large complex organisations.

      Preferable
      · Experience of video production, including filming, editing and delivering via channels eg Vimeo and Workplace.

      · A second language is an advantage
