      Job Purpose

      Job Purpose Provide administrative and project coordination services for National Grid. Support includes data entry, collaborating with various departments, vendors and reporting. The analyst (contract specialist) supports the team business in post award contract management: internal and external stakeholder management, conflict resolution, understanding the needs of business requirements, development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance, while maximizing value throughout.

      Key Accountabilities

      • Contract Implementation
      • Support senior contract specialists and analysts contract trainings and orientations
      • Assist in Help training stakeholders on all aspects of the contract management process Contract Management
      • When applicable, enforce contract language
      • When applicable, manage interface between contractor and internal NG key stakeholders
      • Support senior contract specialists and analysts with contractor negotiations
      • Support a culture of continuous improvement
      • When applicable, spend time in the field on jobsites to better understand thework and expand network
      • Support alignment of contract management process to drive best practice sharing through promoting areas of learning across Capital Delivery Travel
      • Meetings may require day visits to National Grid yards in local area
      • Business overnight travel may include trips to other regions outside of “home base” region, such as Albany, Syracuse, Brooklyn and Long Island

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field and at least 3 years of related experience is highly preferred.
      • Administrative experience working with various computer software required.
      • Construction contract management experience a plus.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excel and PowerPoint skills are a plus.
      • A valid driver’s license is required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy.

      Salary

      $101,000 - $119,000 a year

      This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
