      The Package Fuel System Team at Solar Turbines is looking for a motivated team member to focus on: package fuel system development, alternative fuel controls, software development, and supporting field and sales organizations. This role is part of a team which supports a broad range of activities and high-profile sustainability initiatives within Solar. This is a highly collaborative environment leveraging our Agile development process with opportunities to grow technically.

      What you will do:

      • Interface with teams across Solar’s business units to solve technical issues, meet program milestones, and make Solar's customers successful.

      • Play a critical role in the development of engine operation and control with alternative and High Hydrogen fuels.

      • Support Special Engine Requests, fuel system software development and maintenance.

      • This role will initially focus on Hydrogen fuel development, with opportunities to expand responsibilities within the team and grow technically.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years in Mechanical, Electrical, or closely related Engineering field.

      • General knowledge of turbomachinery operation

      • Experience with fuel system analysis and control.

      • Candidate should be capable of working effectively under their own initiative as well as part of a team. The candidate should be able to document and communicate ideas clearly.

      • Excellent attention to detail and be self-driven to solve complex technical problems.

      Top candidates will also have:

      • Master’s degree with 3-5 years in Mechanical, Electrical, or closely related Engineering field.

      • Fuel controls and RSLogix experience.

      • Matlab and Simulink experience.

      • Field or Test Cell experience.

      • Experience with Agile Engineering processes.

      Compensation & Benefits

      Base salary for this role ranges from $ 98,726.00, to $148,088.00. Typical starting salaries range for this position is $108,000 to $129,000. Actual salary will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

      Summary Pay Range:

      $98,726.00 - $177,706.00

      Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
