Interface with teams across Solar’s business units to solve technical issues, meet program milestones, and make Solar's customers successful.
Play a critical role in the development of engine operation and control with alternative and High Hydrogen fuels.
Support Special Engine Requests, fuel system software development and maintenance.
This role will initially focus on Hydrogen fuel development, with opportunities to expand responsibilities within the team and grow technically.
Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years in Mechanical, Electrical, or closely related Engineering field.
General knowledge of turbomachinery operation
Experience with fuel system analysis and control.
Candidate should be capable of working effectively under their own initiative as well as part of a team. The candidate should be able to document and communicate ideas clearly.
Excellent attention to detail and be self-driven to solve complex technical problems.
Master’s degree with 3-5 years in Mechanical, Electrical, or closely related Engineering field.
Fuel controls and RSLogix experience.
Matlab and Simulink experience.
Field or Test Cell experience.
Experience with Agile Engineering processes.

Base salary for this role ranges from $ 98,726.00, to $148,088.00. Typical starting salaries range for this position is $108,000 to $129,000. Actual salary will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

Summary Pay Range:
$98,726.00 - $177,706.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
