      Who are we hiring? The Senior Coordinator Public Relations identifies and connects with “influencers” and media to publicize and promote MSG Networks brand and programming. The coordinator is directly responsible for writing press releases, pitching stories and coordinating TV listings with local media. The coordinator is responsible for the execution of community programs with the Garden of Dreams Foundation and for internal communication and employee events for 11 Penn Plaza employees at MSG Networks. What will you do? Oversee the daily operations of the MSG Networks’ Communications group. Identify and reach out to national and local “influencers” to help grow MSG Networks brand. Manage relationships with “influencers” and involve them with MSGN Social Media team as well as linear TV team. Work with various groups at MSG family of companies to bring “influencers” to MSGN Studios and events at The Garden (Celebrity Relations, MSGN / Knicks / Rangers social media groups, MSGN Content team etc.). Write press releases, pitch MSGN programming to traditional media and social media influencers. Main liaison with Garden of Dreams Foundation. Develop and implement community relations endeavors – including award-winning “MSG Classroom” program; MSGN fundraising, talent appearances on behalf of Foundation and more. Organize Emmy Submission process with MSGN producers and content creators, manage award night tables and program ads, and award distribution process. Oversee internal communications for the 11 Penn office including digital communications boards and scheduling and planning MSG Networks employee events. Execute planning, preparation, and day off event execution for employee events specific to 11 Penn. Participate in the selection of the PR/Communications Student Associate and manage the experience and work of the selected individual. Responsible for the day-to-day service responsibilities of the departments (e., department - phones, finance support, charitable contributions and managing PR Department budget. What do you need to succeed? 2-4+ years of Sports or Entertainment Public Relations experience Bachelor’s degree in relatable field or equivalent experience in the industry Excellent writing skills and a thorough understanding of the nuances associated with writing press releases and communicating within the media industry Understanding of the sports and television industry Ability to develop and executive creative ways of engaging influencers and audiences Ability to strategically leverage social media platforms Ability to work independently, with excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills Dynamic communicator and collaborator with an ability to build relationships and strategically utilize connections to support goals Flexible availability to attend events and complete work requirements on nights and weekends as needed Why is MSG for me?
