We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the position of Senior Coordinator Registration within the Building & Development Certifier team.
About the roleIn this role, you will lead and coordinate a team of skilled Registration (assessment) Officers responsible for the registration of registered certifiers and administration of the public register of registered certifiers in line with the Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018 (the Act)
A high level of knowledge and specialist expertise is required in the assessment of applications under the Act and you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to the Registration Officers carry out assessments, you will be required to undertake the assessment of applications as needed.
There are also ongoing industry engagement sessions that require you to prepare relevant information and present to a group of industry professionals.
Applications are received digitally and experience using LORIS is an advantage.
Key responsibilities- Managing competing priorities and having the ability to undertake high level data driven, risk-based decision making
- Coordinating a team responsible for the registration and renewal functions for building certifiers
- Supporting the administration of accreditation schemes for fire practitioners under the BDC legislation, understanding the legislative requirements
- Developing and implementing documented processes and procedures for assessing applications for registration, using a database
- Managing the expectations of a wide range of stakeholders, including contentious issues within tight timeframes
- Evaluating and monitoring business and team performance and quality service levels to develop a high performing, responsive and collaborative team culture which builds internal expertise, capability and skills to meet business objectives and customer needs
- Facilitating and building collaborative networks and partnerships to implement and promote effective and practical solutions which reflect regulatory obligations and meet community expectations.
To be successful in this role you will:- Have strong oral and written communication skills
- Be able to display proven ability of exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
- Have can-do attitude and a passion for customer service, and experience in building a culture of continuous improvement
- Show experience in developing high performing teams with a culture of accountability and achievement
- Need to exhibit experience in leading teams through transformational change
- Have experience in optimising resources to ensure that services are delivered in a high volume processing environment with competing priorities
- Display confidence in prioritising day to day escalations and requests for information
- Need to show experience in providing specialist advice while ensuring that decision making is in accordance with legislation and principles of procedural fairness
- Anticipate and address contentious issues, providing accurate advice and promote continuous process and service improvements, to meet business objectives.

Salary Clerk Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $120.859 base plus superannuation
