- Obtain a thorough understanding of the organizational structure of funds to ensure proper coding of transactions
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes including:
- Preparation of journal entries for preacquisition, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, capital waterfall, intercompany, and other monthly entries
- Preparation of debt schedules for all hotels including loans, interest rate derivatives, and loan costs
- Preparation of corporate fixed asset schedules
- Review of general ledger and financial statements
- Assist in preparation of other reporting including but not limited to private equity partner reporting, board meetings, and ad hoc requests
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
- Corporate billbacks to the hotels
- Assisting with audit and tax preparation
- Other projects as directed by the Corporate Accounting Supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- 3+ year of experience in financial statement preparation and monthly reconciliation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Must be successful at working on a collaborative team and in an entrepreneurial environment

- Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) – legacy system
- Solver – legacy system
- Sage Intacct – new system
- Coupa – new system
- Microsoft Office Suite (Emphasis on strong excel usage)
The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for assisting with the preparation and review of corporate financials, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and forecast, and working with the team to achieve annual goals and objectives.
