Be the lead point of contact (for the legal team) for business leaders in the accommodations business, a rapidly expanding part of Priceline’s business, and work with the business on their strategically complex partner accounts.
Manage commercial contract drafting and negotiations for all accommodations supply and products, driving those contracts through to a successful close.
Provide strategic business and legal advice to develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to our external relationships with accommodations and other travel-related partners.
Negotiate content supply agreements with major hotel chain partners (key accounts).
Apply your intellectual curiosity and a self-starter approach to assist with sophisticated business opportunities and challenges arising in the accommodations business.
Design and implement new and revised standardized templates and processes for all areas of the accommodations business, including regular review and updates of global terms and conditions and training to internal business partners.
Work with cross-functional teams (across the globe) to identify and drive resolution of legal issues related to privacy, data security, marketing, competition, intellectual property, tax and regulatory areas in order to enable our business partners to offer services that our customers can trust.
Instruct and supervise outside counsel on escalated commercial, tax and corporate matters, as needed.
Exercise autonomy and an ownership mentality in partnering directly with key stakeholders to quickly and nimbly execute on business objectives and drive results.
At least 8-12 years of legal experience as a qualified attorney; including at least 3 years of in house experience.
Prior accommodations and/or travel experience preferred.
The bulk of your experience will have been in concluding commercial contract negotiations with a diverse range of business partners. However, some corporate law and tax experience is preferable.
Ideally will have some awareness of legal issues arising from cross-border transactions (eg USA- Canada).
Exceptional legal education and law firm credentials.
Member in good standing with your state bar, with permission and ability to work in your hired location.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills are essential.
Knowledge and experience of consumer law and Privacy, as well as general knowledge of legal issues facing tech companies is strongly preferred.
You will be comfortable working with a contract management tool for contract administration processes whilst being equally comfortable partnering with the business, finance and tax in managing contracts through to completion.
Travel will be required (typically in the U.S. and Canada) to visit business leaders and to conduct negotiations with partners.

You will support the VP, Associate General Counsel, Head of Commercial and Regulatory. Priceline is looking for an energetic, inquisitive, engaging, and experienced senior commercial lawyer to work as the lead lawyer for Priceline’s Accommodations business.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.
The salary range for this position in NYC is $160,000-$200,000.
The salary range for this position in Dallas is $140,000-$175,000.

Priceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
