Protect the bank by setting a robust, automated, affordability assessment which aligns with all regulations, and mitigates credit risk.
Pro-actively mitigating credit risk arising from segments more susceptible to a declining economic environment.
Ensure all data inputs and assumptions within the affordability assessment remain up to date, and incorporate future changes to economic conditions.
Embed Consumer Duty, by ensuring customer outcomes are considered as part of the strategy development, risks assessment and outcome monitoring.
Innovate through using new tools and data / the creation of new tests, at a segmented level, to help advocate the current strategy or enhance our approach.
Creating innovative insights to identify trends, emerging risks and optimisation opportunities across the key products.
Motivating, developing and leading a successful team to achieve their own personal career goals, and the Groups new shift in Culture.
Credit Risk – you’ll have experience of working in the consumer credit space and an understanding of credit risk tools to deliver on risk appetite.
Collaboration - experience in supporting businesses in a partnership role, building new partnerships and working with a wide range of partners to meet shared objectives.
Communicating effectively – a strong ability to explain complicated issues clearly to different audiences; both technical & non-technical. You’ll establish effective networks with people and influence at senior managers.
Analytical expertise – ability to problem solve using data assets and translate numbers into clear insights.
Responsible lending – understanding of regulatory compliance and conduct risk for fair customer outcomes.
Leading others – a passion for developing your team through stretching objectives, feedback and coaching, supporting and inspiring them to deliver our purpose.

LOCATION(S): Chester, Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, Halifax or Leeds
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Two days per week (or 40% of your time) at one of our Risk hub offices.

A fantastic opportunity to join the Consumer Credit Risk team as Senior Credit Risk Manager for Unsecured & Motor Affordability, providing leadership and strategic direction in the management & optimisation of the Affordability strategy for Unsecured and Motor products. You’ll be accountable to the Head of Credit Risk for Cards & Loans and face off directly to leaders in the Consumer businesses as well as our Risk partners.
