The role of the Senior Analyst is to support the mission by providing timely strategic insights geared toward enhancing the Delta brand. We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical individual to join our team within the TechOps Business performance team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting advanced data analysis to support decision-making and strategy development within the division using tools such as SQL, PowerBI, Tableau and other database interface tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement data-driven solutions to complex business problems in addition to developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators.
      This is an in-person role at the Atlanta TechOps Maintenance Facility.
      Responsibilities:
      • Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, strategy, visualizations and project development
      • Collaborate with business partners to define critical metrics and audit data to ensure we are providing an accurate and relevant view of the data
      • Develop and improve automated reports and analyses to support leadership and teams
      • Building and handling multisource data sets to support department initiatives in a timely manner
      • Have a team first attitude with the success of our team and business partners as the top priority
      • Enjoy working in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and aggressive deadlines
      • Present findings to Business Performance leaders

      What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

      • Familiarity and/or experience with some or all of the following: SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau or other database interface tools and languages
      • Ability to manipulate data using programming language and to create complex queries
      • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and manage multiple requests with varying timelines.

      What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

      • Bachelor's degree in a related field or experience in data analysis, preferably in the airline industry
      • Ability to manage a reporting database environment, troubleshoot, and automate reporting within Teradata/AWS using SQL/Python preferred
