- Development of Advanced Analytics / Machine Learning / AI models: design, collect and analyze data, code, experiment and implement predictive models and algorithms, to solve core business problems in the Global Supply Chain area, such as demand prediction or inventory optimization.
- Lead initiatives in experimentation and operationalization of ML and AI in demand space, leveraging new MLOps platform solutions.
- Design experiments and interpret the results to draw statistically solid, detailed, and actionable conclusions. Evaluate algorithms through controlled offline (e.g. backtesting, cross-validation) and online experiments (e.g. A/B testing).
- Create and maintain data pipelines for machine learning.
- Operationalize model development and build a strong data foundation that covers data engineering and MLOps practices.
- Partner with different functional teams to implement end-to-end Machine Learning solutions and monitor outcomes. Lead the development of processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and accuracy (MLOps).
- Develop tools and analytics capabilities that automate manual work, increase operational efficiency, and empower user via self-service.
- Work with the team of data scientists and a variety of business stakeholders in an international network. Develop strong partnership with relevant stakeholders at all levels of the Global Supply Chain organization.
- Communicate results and ideas in a clear and concise way to key decision makers and top management level, and drive change in how these solutions are adopted.
- Be on top of new technologies and industry trends in the area of AI and data science. Promote best in class standards, taking inspiration from the thought leaders in the industry.
- University degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or other). Master or PhD in Data Science will be an advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in data science projects.
- Professional experience in the implementation of Machine Learning algorithms, following the end-to-end predictive / prescriptive model development cycle, from problem definition and data analysis to productionalization and maintenance, using data from disparate sources.
- Experience in accessing and analyzing different types of data. Knowledge of analytics and data engineer are required.
- Deep theoretical and applied knowledge in one of the following areas: machine learning, predictive modeling, time series analysis, optimization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Experience using programming languages like Python, Spark or SQL.
- Experience working with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
- Experience working with Machine Learning / AI collaborative platforms, preferably Dataiku Data Science Studio.
- Good to have: experience in applying Data Science techniques to logistic problems.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment with limited direction to complete work assignments accurately and on time, including managing multiple tasks, in an environment of competing priorities and deadlines.
ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a data scientist with a strong technical focus on developing advanced analytics, data science, machine learning and AI solutions to address various business problems in the Supply Chain space.
The data scientist role will report to the Data Science Lead of the Global Demand Intelligence organization, and will lead innovation, design, implementation & life cycle management of data science & analytics solutions aimed at leveraging technology & automation to implement intelligent demand flow through the Global Supply Chain network.
In this role, you will cooperate closely both with technical teams in the data and IT space, and with business stakeholders and business leaders from the Global Supply Chain organizations, markets and analytics teams, understanding their needs and translating them into innovative data science solutions.
This position is offered with a hybrid working pattern. Onsite days based at our offices in Madrid or Bucharest.
