      Glimpse of the Senior Database Administrator role

      Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), a business vertical under Technology Services, has a pivotal role supporting the student information systems that integrate with the Oracle database and Unix platform. As the Senior Database Administrator, you work closely with business units, developers, and other IT and data professionals to install, enhance, monitor, and provide solutions to technical issues. Your outcomes enable students to apply to A&M, register for classes, receive financial assistance, and communicate with Faculty.

      This role is on-site in College Station, Texas and the salary range is $80,000 - $97,000 commensurate with experience..

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Five years of related experience in database architecture and administration, prefer six years of Oracle administration experience with some at the enterprise-level
      • Application server support and experience working on Unix systems including shell scripts a plus
      • Prefer some development experience, ideally including SQL and PL/SQL, groovy and/or java
      • Prefer Demonstrated experience supporting the integration and maintenance of third-party applications that integrate with Oracle database or Banner applications
