- Database Management: Install, upgrade, and maintain Oracle instances across multiple environments.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance through index tuning, query optimization, and resource monitoring.
- Backup and Recovery: Design and implement robust backup strategies and disaster recovery processes.
- High Availability Solutions: Implement and manage high availability solutions such as Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Log Shipping.
- Monitoring: Enhance the monitoring process
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues in production and non-production environments.
- Security Audits: Perform regular security audits and implement measures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, IT staff, and stakeholders to improve application performance and solve database-related issues.
- Documentation: Accurately document work and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support 24x7 Operations/Production Oracle Servers in Oracle Cloud Infrastucture.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering, and at least 1 cloud Certification is a must.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience managing DB Servers in various environments
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Oracle Database concepts and OCI Management console functions.
- Autoscaling management and Managing monitoring alerts in OCI autonomous databases.
- Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle partitions and partial indexes
- Find timely performance issues using OCI Performance Hub based on ADDM and AWR reports
- Proficient in managing data in Oracle Databases with ILM and in-memory management.
- Experience in Database Administration, Configuration, Installation, Upgrading, Architecture Design, and Troubleshooting of Oracle.
- Maintained Production databases under critical industry domains.
- Oracle Migration and Upgradation
- Design and Implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and release deployment activities.
- Perform maintenance, tuning, archiving, backups, replication, recovery, software upgrades, capacity planning,and optimization.
- Maintain database Standard and Security as defined at the Enterprise level. Expert understanding of role, profile, grants, and privileges, providing andsetting up DB access at a different level for different groups of users.
- Experience in investigating and remediating complex Oracle performance issues across the entire product stack.
- Meet recovery objectives RPO, RTO, and SLA's regarding the databases for DB Disaster Recovery
- Recover Oracle Autonomous database objects using flashback utilities
- Conducting root cause analysis for critical issues with problem fixes.
- Good to have exposure to automation using PostgreSQL and AWS Cloud.
- Documented Knowledge base articles and User Manual Operations guide for the database team
