      Senior Dental Officer - Prisons HMP Norwich Permanent, Part Time

      Hours: 15 hours per week, 2 daysBase: HMP Norwich, Knox Road, Norwich NR1 4LU Salary: £81,716 - £95,579 per annum, pro rata (actual £32,686.40 - £38,231.60)

      The CDS Prison Team were winners in the Dental Team of the Year category in The Dental Industry Awards 2024.

      Applications are invited from enthusiastic dentists for this post based at HMP Norwich.

      You will provide a full range of NHS care to offenders in HMP Norwich and a registered, experienced Specialist Dental Nurse will support all sessions.

      Main duties of the job

      HMP Norwich overlooks the city of Norwich. HMP Norwich is a Category B, C and D and remand.

      The post holder will provide a full range of oral care and screening to patients in HMP establishments. However, there may be a requirement to work within other CDS clinics in the community.

      All prison sites offer NHS dental care.It is essential you can fulfil the travel requirements of the post. Candidates must be well motivated, ethical and have good communication skills.

      You will need to be GDC Registered be on the NHS Performer List.

      Enhanced DBS and the ability to meet Ministry of Justice clearance will be required.
