      Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

      Design and direct industry leading creative solutions for Originals L.A. Apparel & Accessories product, creating highly relevant, culturally credible, innovative and authentic adidas Originals Women’s and Unisex products

      Lead and manage the internal Originals L.A. Apparel & Accessories creative team to develop a culturally and commercially successful range season after season that celebrates the brand’s DNA and further establishes adidas Originals as a culturally relevant global sport lifestyle brand

      Key Responsibilities

      • Lead Design team members in overseeing creative process, ensuring holistic storytelling and execution of product design direction for adidas Originals Women’s and Unisex Apparel & Accessories range, including multiple concepts or categories across multiple consumer touchpoints
      • Execute design work according to the visual language of adidas as well as given Corporate Identity guidelines according to legal guidance
      • Ensure efficient process and communication flow between design, marketing, and development for all issues regarding the designed ranges and products
      • Develop concepts and creative strategies that fulfill objectives of category, concept, brief and category trends
      • Ensure proper handover of tech packs into development. Main duty is to submit all relevant information needed for the development process such as sketches, detail sketches, fabric and trim indication, artworks, etc.
      • Partner with Creative Team in development and implementation the overall brand & product creative direction, visual language, category identity for Originals L.A.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure consumer- and brand focus
      • Set priorities, creative and assignment-related, of team
      • Lead the execution of creative strategies to ensure end to end creative excellence, from sell-in to sell-out (consumer-facing)
      • Review and approve production stages of creative execution
      • Maximize results within given budget and timeframes
      • Present and communicate creative solutions with clarity, effectively selling in ideas to variety of stakeholders
      • Identify trends and opportunities to improve & evolve range and creation development & concept innovation process; initiate proposals/projects to accelerate growth & effectiveness of team and products
      • Seek out new Design resources & best practices that can deliver world class results and lead the industry, pushing the edges of what’s possible and what’s next

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

      • Strong Design Applications Skill: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
      • Strong 3D Rendering skills ideal inclusive of systems/tools such as Clo3D, Rhino, Browzwear, VStitcher, Modo, Blendr, Gravity Sketch or similar 3D design tools
      • Sketching and Computer Aided Design (CAD) capability, incuding creation of Tech Packs
      • IT Skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint: advanced /Outlook
      • Strong knowledge of apparel & accessories design & product development, material and aesthetic exposure for assigned product range
      • Deep understanding of textiles, wovens, knitwear, pattern making, print design
      • Fluent in English language (written and spoken)
      • Ability to identify and utilize Trend Analysis & Consumer Insights
      • High level of professionalism, verbal communication, visual communication and presentation skills

      Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

      • Under-graduate level Design education or combination thereof
      • At least 6- 8 years of Apparel Design experience with innovation and commercial product expertise, within the Lifestyle Fashion & Sporting Goods Industries
      • 3 years personnel management experience
      • Proven experience with the entire design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solution)
      • Passion for adidas and its mission

      • The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $103,700-$155,500. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, proficiency for the role.
      • We officially returned to office in a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The working location of this position is Los Angeles California.
      • Though our teammates hail from all corners of the world, our working language is English.
