      Temple University's Strategic Marketing and Communications Division is searching for a Senior Designer !

      Salary Rang e: $60,000 - $70,000
      A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant’s education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source .

      Position Summary
      Reporting to the Sr. Associate Director of Design in Strategic Marketing and Communications, the Senior Designer creates high-quality, actionable digital and print marketing and communications that advance Temple’s brand and strategic goals. This role blends strong visual design skills with creative thinking and a passion for inspired storytelling. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, brings fresh ideas to the table, and is committed to continuous growth, staying current with best practices and industry activity. The senior designer demonstrates attention to detail and strong relationship-building skills working closely with both internal and external partners.

      Required Education and Experience
      * Bachelor’s degree
      * At least 3 years of directly related experience in graphic design in a fast-paced creative environment.
      * An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

      Preferred Education and Experience
      * Degree in visual design, communications, marketing, digital, or advertising
      * 5+ years experience as a designer
      * Previous experience as a senior designer
      * Previous brand experience

      Required Skills and Abilities
      * Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), experience with After Affects a plus
      * Experience in integrated, strategic marketing communications.
      * Proven leader and collaborator who works to unify teams across functions.
      * Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
      * Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy of work.
      * Superior organizational skills - must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
      * Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work and collaborate with colleagues and campus partners.

      * Strong attention to detail and ability to utilize data and insights to determine decisions.
      * Ability to attend staff events as needed (including occasional nights and weekends).


      Essential Functions
      * As an expert in visual language and typography, execute high-level visual designs that support Temple’s strategic goals. Constantly
      researching new and unique ways to elevate Temple’s brand.

      * An ambassador for Temple's brand and style, present creative concepts to project teams and leadership for feedback. Articulates decision making process, explaining how decisions relate to goals, and takes feedback into consideration during revisions and reviews
      * The Senior Designer is expected to take initiative in collaborating with team members across the division to ensure the University’s visual identity is successfully applied across all print and digital touchpoints, creating compelling communications that support Temple’s brand and meet all deadlines. Art directs photo shoots as necessary.
      * A leader in brainstorming and creative review sessions, sharing innovative ideas and discussing work. Keeping up with best production practices and working with creative strategy and production manager to find most cost-effective solutions
