      About the Role

      The Software Engineer II will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust backend systems for our AI-driven products. You will work on scalable services deployed on AWS, integrating with multiple LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines. While experience with AI and RAG is a plus, we are primarily looking for strong backend engineers with solid programming, debugging, and system design skills. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

      Responsibilities

      • Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs for AI-powered applications.
      • Develop scalable, secure, and reliable systems using Python and modern backend frameworks.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models and data pipelines into production systems.
      • Debug, profile, and optimize backend code for performance and reliability.
      • Contribute to infrastructure automation, deployment, and monitoring (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
      • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
      • Write clear documentation and ensure best practices in code quality and testing.

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
      • 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering (Python preferred; Go, Shell scripting a plus).
      • Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services.
      • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
      • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
      • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
      • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
      • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
      • Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, or RAG is a plus but not required.
