JOB PURPOSE:
The Technical Product owner contributes to requirement analysis & clarification, User story creation, of Caterpillar’s state-of-the-art digital application.
JOB DUTIES:
• Responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team
• Responsible for creating, maintaining, and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the product
• Communicate Product Backlog priorities to the team
• Act as the decision-maker regarding what features the product will have
• Assists with the elaboration of epics, themes and features into user stories that are small enough, or granular enough, to be achieved in a single sprint
• Responsible for conveying the vision and goals at the beginning of every sprint
• Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization
• Responsible for making decisions on release dates and content
• Represent the customer, interfacing and engaging with the customer
• Participate in Daily Scrum as needed
• Participate in Sprint Planning meetings, Retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
• Inspect the product progress at the end of every Sprint and accept or reject the work that as been done by the Development Team
• Act as the voice of the team, communicating status stakeholder.
• Be a good role model of Scrum values; understand the framework and the roles of each team member
• Be a champion for the agile community and help to further the community within the organizationBasic qualifications:
• Position requires a four-year degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of experience in requirement analysis of software applications in eCommerce (B2B)
• 8+ years of Software Industry experience.Top candidates will also have proven experience in the following:
• Strong business and technical vision
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
• A deep understanding of software development
• Have a strong Business Analysis skills and ability to translate requirements to enterprise software features.
• Have strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Should have excellent communication.
• Should be energetic, team player, eager to learn and grow.
• Should be self-driven and passionate professional.
• Have knowledge of Azure DevOps or any other agile tool.
• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technologies and approaches to solving problems.
• Have skilled in breaking down problems and estimating efforts.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban development process.
