- Bachelors degree, or equivalent relevant business experience.
- 5-6+ years of experience delivering value to customers through problem solving, analytics, and/or digital assets, or equivalent relevant experience
- Deep business experiences with Colonial Life field and home office processes as well as benefits and HR technology platforms is preferred.
- Experience in a leadership role for implementing digital solutions in a rapidly changing agile environment.
- Building employee enthusiasms as a result of reducing repetitive tasks and empowering teams to solve challenging business problems.
- Identify and improve all stages of the customer journey by working together to enhance Unum’s products and services improving internal collaboration.
- Be an outstanding storyteller and influential voice amongst business partners, advocating for customer needs and the experiences needed to meet those needs, leading to customer centric product strategies.

- Establishes strong, effective and collaborative partnerships with key business area leaders, project managers and subject matter experts to identify specific business opportunities or to address business needs or problems and help build effective solutions.
- In close partnership with the Product Owners, provide direct input into technology and digital roadmap strategy for the assigned functional area to ensure that solutions align with company strategy and will have a significant impact on operational readiness, customer experience and financial ROI.
- Create business plans for assigned projects including accurate financial cost benefit modeling.
- Simplify and reimagine processes in order to create transformational experiences through digital assets
- Design digital solutions that align with strategic objectives, support business goals and delivery efficiency gains to reduce costs to operational areas while improving the experience for our customers.
- Acts as a champion of change leading organizations through digital oriented transformations and continuously research emerging trends in digital technology solutions.
- Independently conduct complex quantitative and qualitative analysis of both the external marketplace trends as well as existing internal processes to recommend and influence actionable recommendations.
- Understanding Voice-of-the Customer (VOC); identifies opportunities through surveys, customer interviews and focus groups. Will leverage digital based technology solutions to improve business performance and improve CSAT.
- Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of of the operational area of assignment as well having a broader understanding of other functional areas.
- Lead mid to larger sized projects with a focus on utilizing data driven analysis to drive outcomes that will improve customer experience and operational readiness for digital solutions.
- Proactively identify learning opportunities to increase both technical and operational knowledge of the industry and company.
- Mentor lower level transformational specialists.
- Exercises creativity and resourcefulness in solving technical problems in a way that maximizes the customer experience and improves operational efficiencies

General Summary:
Unum is currently seeking a Senior Digital Transformation Specialist with a strong focus on data-driven strategies. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting digital transformation initiatives, specifically in direct support of Colonial Life acquisition and administration activities. While your primary focus will be on Colonial Life, there may be opportunities for you to extend your expertise and provide support across various business functions and Unum Group brands. You will also partner with corporate shared services and multiple business units to identify barriers and devise effective solutions with our brokers and clients in mind. As a key partner, you will be at the forefront of driving change, collaborating with a large number of diverse stakeholders and business partners. Major activities supported by this role include.
Operational Readiness:
Collaborate with the Director to deliver test and learn documentation.
Codify and implement operational readiness plans.
Data Analysis:
Work closely with data analytics teammates to articulate the business market's story and milestones.
Utilize data insights to drive informed decision-making.
Technology Platform Changes:
Define requirements for changes in the technology platforms.
Calculate and communicate corresponding value.
The role will rely heavily on extensive technical and analytical skills to independently leverage technology and data to communicate recommendations and influence buy-in to all levels of leadership. This role offers a clear path to career growth, with exposure to Product Management, and Design Delivery.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$89,400.00-$174,800.00Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
