- Sr. DSP assists Manager of Community Supports with the overall operation of the home
(including training of new DSPs, attending PCP meetings, monthly paperwork, some on-call
responsibilities, etc.). - Additional medical needs – scheduling/monitoring appointments, MAR reviews and oversight,
medication ordering and checks, etc. - Completion of PCP reviews under the guidance of the Manager of Community Supports.
- Associates Degree or experience on a 1:1 basis in lieu of education
- One (1) year of DDA experience.
- Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence. There can be no state issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede driver’s ability to operate the vehicle as required by the Agency, and there must not be more than three (3) points on their driving record.
- Medication Certification by an approved DDA course must be obtained within three months of hire
- One year experience in ID/DD or related field.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, provide physical intervention as necessary, and be able to life and/or transfer people.

Pay Rate: $20.50 - $21.00

Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Gallagher Services is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional who will provides (physical, social, behavioral, career, and personal) to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) living and working in the community. The DSP ensures that human, civil, and legal rights of all people are protected by advocating, teaching, promoting dignity, and reasonable risk and following mandatory reporting guidelines for the people supported quality living support (physical, social, behavioral, career, and personal) to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) living and working in the community.
The work schedule is: Monday-Wednesday 7a-3p & Thursday- Friday 1p-9p.
