      We have an opportunity for a Senior Distribution Center Supervisor to join our Roseville, MN team. You will ensure shipments are made on a timely basis, and shipments are routed by either customer’s recommendations or best way by Pentair standards. In this role, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for directing the warehouse work force in a manner consistent with good managerial techniques and adherence to company policies, based on fair application of the company policies and in a way, which promotes good employee relations.       You will:

      • Lead continuous improvement efforts in distribution and warehousing functions to improve productivity and material flow between the warehouse and plant
      • Responsible for and supervise Warehouse personnel (Line Support, Shipping, and Receiving Material Handlers) so that the department operates in an efficient manner.
      • Responsible for continuous improvement toward improving safety, productivity, and material flow, 5S standards, and to audit processes within the warehouse.
      • Improve inventory flow between the warehouse and the manufacturing plant. Determine root cause of flow issues and implement countermeasures to correct issues.
      • Ensure inventory accuracy through the adherence to standard work and warehouse process discipline.
      • Coordinate with both production and purchasing teams to ensure customer orders are met with an on-time delivery of 95% or better.
      • Insure timely completion of weekly employee timesheets and annual employee performance evaluations. Address performance issues and policy violations as required and take appropriate corrective measures as needed.
      • Cross-train warehouse personnel to be able to perform all necessary duties including printing orders, receiving materials, UPS/FedEx shipping, LTL/FTL shipping, inventory transfers, and the pick-pack process.
      • Interact with Customer Service Department to ensure on-time delivery, high quality, minimal shipping/packing errors, and adherence to customer demands.
      • Interpret, apply, and enforce company safety regulations and operating policies and procedures.
      • Support and maintain nondiscriminatory practices in accordance with the Pentair Affirmative Action Program.

      Key Qualifications:

      • Associates or Technical Degree in a related field or five years’ experience in work related assignments
      • Previous supervisory experience and ability to effectively work across cross-functional teams
      • Computer experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, JD Edwards, SAP, Intranet, and Internet
      • International shipping, shipping regulations and regulatory compliance and documentation, preferred
      • Understand replenishment systems and Lean Manufacturing strategies
      • Skill in analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and problem solving to identify and support improvement efforts
      • Skill in communicating effectively through oral and written communications
      • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance, balance working with multiple tasks and be able to deal well with frequent interruptions
      • Ongoing commitment to improving internal procedures, documentation, and training in coordination with the stakeholders
      • Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours, adapt to stressful situations, complete projects under tight deadlines.

      Walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs., ability to operate motorized vehicle, use of computer and must be able to write, speak, and understand English
