Chase Travel is hiring an experienced editor and writer for its editorial content team. You will be editing and creating content focused on hotels, resorts and destinations. The ideal candidate has been an editor at a digital publication and has significant hotel and travel industry knowledge. You should be as passionate about travel as you are about grammar and storytelling. This is an exciting role for an editor eager to help build a new team and develop new editorial franchises.

This role reports to the VP of Editorial Hotel Content for Chase Travel. We are looking for candidates who are able to travel often, both domestically and internationally, for hotel and destination research.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with the VP of Editorial Hotel Content to execute an editorial strategy centered around high-quality original content, including hotel reviews and features.
• Edit, assign and fact-check accurate content that engages and inspires the Chase Travel audience, such as hotel reviews, roundups and features.
• Identify exciting properties and industry trends.
• Manage a small team of full-time of staff writers.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

• 5+ years in travel editorial and digital media.
• Excellent fact-checking and editing skills. You have exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience with editorial analytics tools, and expertise in making data based content decisions.
• Knowledge of all elements of the evolving travel space, including popular and trending hotels and destinations.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; can manage multiple projects at once, and deliver under tight deadlines independently.
• Able to travel often, both domestically and internationally, for hotel and destination research.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience capturing photos and video with smartphones and professional equipment is a plus.
