      Senior Electrical Engineer to support design and engineering efforts for a diverse set of projects, You will be managing multiple projects that require exceptional design and analysis skills to plan and design electrical systems for pilot and commercial projects. You will partner with our R&D, controls, and engineering design teams to perform load calculations and analysis for different stages of design, prepare detailed drawings and design basis documents, select equipment for use in such systems, and participate in Hazard and Operability assessments. This is a full-time position based in Salt Lake City, UT or Oakland, CA.

      What You'll Do
      • Design full Low and Medium Voltage electrical systems, including power, lighting, and signaling systems
      • Prepare/Review load analysis for each stage of design
      • Prepare detailed project electrical systems drawings
      • Prepare basis of design reports for projects
      • Select and prepare specifications for electrical equipment
      • Develop relevant lists and datasheets for electrical equipment
      • Review design drawings (squad checks)
      • Participate in design reviews and HAZOP assessments to improve system safety and operations
      • Develop procurement packages (enquiry, adjudication, purchase recommendations)
      • Manage projects within cost and time constrained environments
      • Understand and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards
      • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines to meet project scopes
      • Coordinate work with partner EPC or MEP firm for design of power systems
      • Contribute to efforts in developing/updating document standards and updating existing drawings
      • Travel to Pilot sites to support installation and commissioning efforts (travel up to 20%)

      Qualifications
      • B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
      • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering standards and codes (NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc.)
      • Experience working for an EPC or MEP firm on design of low and medium voltage electrical systems
      • Experience with chemical equipment, controls and instrumentation, and plant construction
      • Experience with AutoCAD based design projects
      • Experience with ETAP
      • Highly organized with sharp attention to numerical detail
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Excited to work on a small, fast-paced startup team
