Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Engagement Advisor to join the Information and Education team within the Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery Group.

Simply put, our role is to help make it easier for people to do the right thing. We operate in an ever-changing, dynamic and complex environment and your energy, empathy and agility is exactly what we’re looking for to help deliver positive outcomes for our customers.

      Skills and Experience Required

The role will have a focus on supporting sector and community audiences to understand their rights and responsibilities under tenancy and employment laws.

      • Experience in leading, developing and implementing communications and engagement strategies
      • Strong writing, editing and oral communications skills; demonstrated experience in tailoring messages to different audiences, and translating complex information into plain language
      • Proven ability to build, maintain and influence strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
      • Knowledge of tikanga Māori, te reo and Te Ao Māori world view
      • Experience or empathy with diverse communities – for example (but not limited to) Pacific peoples, diverse ethnic and migrant communities or people with disabilities.
      • Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
