      THE POSITION:

      The Senior Engineer will serve as a key member of the City’s Engineering Division and will contribute to the maintenance and operation of the City’s infrastructure by ensuring the safety and quality of streets, sidewalks, traffic signals, street lights, traffic signs and storm drain outlets. The Senior Engineer will serve the Eastvale community with a “can do” attitude and “get it done” approach to work in a fast-paced environment while working closely with a talented, energetic, and highly engaged team of City talent.

      What you will be doing:

      · Supporting long-range efforts in the development of Downtown Eastvale which includes a Civic Center, City Hall, Public Library, Fire Station, Police Substation, and Lifestyle Center.

      · Managing and overseeing multiple construction and design projects that are part of the City’s Capital Improvements program.

      Education:

      Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and registration in California as a Professional Engineer.

      Experience:

      Four or more years of responsible professional civil engineering experience, including experience with public works projects and three years of supervisory experience.

      Memberships:

      Active membership and/or participation in professional organization such as American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), American Public Works Association (APWA), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) and/or related groups is highly desirable.
